Audio Note, Lamm, Audio Aero
[Audio Note AN-E/SEC Silver Signature loudspeakers, Lamm ML1.,1 amplifier, Audio Aero Prestige CD / SACD player in listening room #3]
What a nice system. Works great in this room – deeply enjoyable, great PRaT, emotion, realistic and well-articulated voices…. we like it!
And everyone else so far likes it too
OK, we have an audition this evening – now! – so we’ll have to post more on this later….
Very nice and simple! Very enticing. Would love to come by someday and hear it all. I’m going to be in Colorado Springs for a family get together soon, but Boulder is too far away for us for a daytrip. Worked a few summers in Estes Park many years ago, spent time in Boulder. Loved it!
How does the Audio Aero compare to your AN digital?
Oh man, what a fun system. I just heard this today. I’ll admit, based on what I’d read, I wasn’t expecting much out of the Audio Note speakers. Little 2 ways without fancy drivers in big rectangular boxes? What could possibly make them worth the price? Now I know. I think Neli may have only intended to show me the system, and maybe play a song or two. I listened to a whole CD. I’d just been listening to the AN digital, Lamm L2/ML2.1, Kharma Midi Exquisite system, which I’d consider a hard act to follow in any case. That should give you some idea how good this little system is.
Thanks Andrew! Thanks Steve!
Yeah, this system has got a lot of … oh, maybe it should be called ‘enthusiasm’ or something. Very much in the Spirit of the Music.
As far as Audio Note digital versus Audio Aero digital…
We’ll do a whole long blog enrty on this soon – because we get asked to compare these two quite frequently – and because we recently did a detailed shootout.
Suffice it to say that the Audio Note is more Sophisticated and Real sounding and the Audio Aero is more youthful and dynamic sounding – which I guess makes it more Enjoyable and Impressive – though being less Enjoyabe is somewhat of a pejorative – so perhaps a beter way to describe the AA is that it is more *overtly* enjoyable.
Very similar to the differences between the Marten Design Coltrane compared to the Kharma Mini Exquisite loudspeakers.
Thanks again, Guys,
Mike.
