Audio Federation: Exclusive U.S. Dealer for Marten Coltrane Supreme Loudspeaker
Audio Federation is raising the bar once again.
We are excited to announce our partnership with Marten Design and Sound Advice in bringing this technological tour-de-force to the Americas. We are now and will be the exclusive U.S. dealer and showroom for Marten’s statement speaker: the Coltrane Supreme. We are also the Coltrane Supreme dealer for our friends up in Canada for the forseeable future.
Marten products have always had industry-leading price/performance, and it is just mind-boggling contemplating the performance of these cost-no-object loudspeakers.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you all know how picky we are.
Picky, picky, picky.
So it was with great pleasure, and a little surprise, that after extensive consideration and evaluation of any and all speakers worldwide, we found that the next giant step forward, the state-of-the-art both technologically and musically, in the ongoing evolution of high-fidelity speakers was right here with one of the product lines we already carry.
The Coltrane Supremes list for $250,000.00 and should be here, ready for auditions in the July-August time-frame and we plan on exhibiting with them at RMAF, the 2006 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, this October in Denver.
Perhaps it was best chanted by John Coltrane, and later Santana / McLaughlin (my personal favorite), the Dead, and many, many others…

Is it possible that I’m as excited as you are about these speakers? Probably not, but either way, I can’t wait til late summer when they show up. Congratulations Mike and Neli, these things are going to be a lot of fun to have around.
Wow.
I can just imagine that with the attention to detail that you two will pay to the Supreme with regard to positioning and matching components that the sound will be way better than CES – but I CAN’T imagine what that’s like. I guess I’ll just have to come to Boulder for a listen. 😉
Congratulations to Audio Federation. I look forward to reading your impressions when these are in the house.
(I’m happy to hear you’re a Johnny Mac fan. I saw Mahavishnu Orchestra on the Apocalypse tour from the front row in Brisbane, Oz ’74. Huge memory.)
Regards,
Geoff
Thanks Steve and Geoff.
We’re just a l-l-l-little anxious for them to get h-h-h-here… wake me up when they arrive…
Funny, we had no intention of getting these in anytime soon, not that they weren’t stunning, as we wrote in our show review, but do to space and finance considerations – both of which were unexpectedly changed for us, being more or less forced to get rid of the Triolons and all.
You bet, Geoff, I have all of McLaughlin’s CDs and most of his LPs. the latter primarily from my first collecting spree waaay back – in the late 70’s. But ’74, that’s when he was still ‘cooking’… ;-). Awesome!
All the best,
Mike.
hi . im realy foe this astalation for this matireal of sond music (hi fi ) so i want a catalogue or magazine for photos . thx
Hi Selmane,
We don’t really have any Coltrane Supreme brochures or catalogs. Should we ever make some we’ll try and get in contact with you to get your address to send you some.
Marten does produce some very nice brochures for the rest of their product line, but I don’t think they have made any for this speaker yet…
Neli is a fan of paper literature – but me, I am starting to think it is just a waste of natural resources, …I want it to be digital and especially not be the cause of big fat folders in the file cabinet – so big that one can’t close the darn thing anymore 🙂 [true story, times 100 if you include all our other hobbies and *their* brochures].
Thanks,
Mike
