Finally getting around to updating the website

After a few public service announcements we will be back to our regularly scheduled program – lots of things happening here.

Did finally get to all the maintenance the website needed. Updating Ubuntu, PHP, WordPress, the theme and a host of plugins.

Not what I consider fun, and in fact kinda stressful. Let it go too long for it to be easy…

Let me know if something is still out-of-wack.

I mean with the website, of course.

The rest of the planet? Here’s some silly good-natured advice about THAT :-/

Capital Audio Fest 2018 and Acapella Audio Arts La Campanella speakers

Neli will be at Capital Audio Fest November 2 – 4 [I am unfortunately otherwise occupied].

Please visit her and tell her how awesome she is and and how wonderful her rooms sound 🙂

She will be alternating between the Old Forge Studio room featuring the Acapella Audio Art “La Campanella” loudspeakers and the Triangle Art room.

Capital Audiofest Nov 2-4, with Acapella LaCampanellas!

We’ll be at Capital Audiofest 2018 in metro Washington, DC next weekend — Nov 2-4 — with our newest Acapella Audio Arts dealer, David Cope of Old Forge Studio. Audio Federation is unbeliveably excited to welcome Dave to the Acapella family.

Old Forge Studio will be exhibiting, for the first time in the USA, Acapella’s LaCampanella 2 loudspeakers,  accompanied by electronics from Pure Audio (NZ), Wand, EMT, Innuos and Aqua.

Capital Audiofest will be held at the Hilton Rockville, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville MD 20852​.  Come visit us, all y’all East Coast folks, room 325!

Ultimist has a new look and vast coverage of CAS 2018

Ultimist has a new look. The front page is now a full-featured wordpress blog.

[ The slogan of the site WAS going to be “This is not audio porn”. But I figured the level of intelligence required for people to understand the level of tongue-in-cheek and self-deprecating humor in the slogan was too much for the non-audiophiles in the world to handle, they might explode. 🙂 ]

It is where I am going to stuff all my extra photos from the shows and whatever else I think of that does not go here [Axpona 2018 and The California Audio Show 2018 so far].

There will be a lot more features to come once time allows.

The goal is to not be boring. Audiophile writers please inquire, especially first time writers – we are going to expand what it means to be a hifi-publication … [ 🙂 ]
