I thought that the Ryan speakers were among the best sounding speakers for their price range at the RAF. I thoroughly enjoyed their musicality with different pieces of music. The Ryan brothers definitely have figured out how to build wonderful speakers at an affordable price (i.e., their top model sells for $5,000/pair and to me seems hart to beat for the price). I really hope that someone from Stereophile or the Absolute Sound will review these speakers to that the Ryan’s will get more exposure.
The only thing I would have wished for in the Ryan room would have been a turntable in an affordable price range so that I could have listened to an analog source.
Funny you should mention the Ryan speakers. Kevin [who we bring up here periodically as an extra pair of ears] mentioned Ryan as one of the two rooms he liked on Saturday [the other room is a horn speaker room whose name he had forgotten].
I didn’t get a chance to go back and take a close listen – but for both you and Kevin to mention them – out of several hundred others, that’s …. interesting.
