Hiendy: Ktêma, Audio Note Gaku-on, Audio Note M10, Esoteric
[… and here we are starting a new category – cool Sightings, in the wild, as it were. People often point us to extreme high-end systems they run across. Finally it dawned… maybe we should collect them here – let people see that we, and they, are not the only ones with the vision and passion. Thanks go out to Florian for this one]

looks like a bathroom for listening environment–where is the
room?
The room looks to be about 10 feet wide, which is indeed on the smaller size.
I sure we can all commiserate with the fella [and it does appear to be a fella], his listening room having to be shoe-horned into such a space.
The possible reasons are as multitudinous as they are frustrating:
spousal disapproval,
neighbor disapproval [i.e. the small room shares no boundaries with the neighboring apartments],
an apartment in a very large city where square-footage is very expensive or their just plain ARE no large rooms,
the other rooms have too inhospitable of a shape to be listening rooms,
valuing the privacy afforded by the small room over that of the larger rooms [aka kids],
etc.
Take care,
-Mike
mmmmmm 300b tubes. I’d love to get a pair of Audio Note 300b tube amps. Look rad, never heard them though.
D’ya know, I’m actually delighted to see somebody else trying to shoe-horn a high-end system into an incredibly narrow room. My 9’3″ wide mancave has many advantages, but sadly the acoustic is not one of them. It’s taken me years to tame it to even barely acceptable levels, so I’m surprised to see bare walls in the picture above. Still, sometimes things just work…!
