I had high hopes for this room but it was extremely digital sounding. I have heard CH Precision amplifiers sound best-in-class on Magico and YG Acoustics loudspeakers, which are fairly high resolution speakers themselves, so I do not necessarily feel the problem was with these speakers, no matter how high their resolution is. And the music server appeared to be well-loved so presumably it also has produced quality sound in the past, so… Maybe it was just something weird while I was there, just one of those ‘show gremlins strike again’ kind of things.
The Triangle Art turntable had a better-than-average ability to retrieve music off of the LP, which the Esotar (they still use this?) tweeter of the EgglestonWorks speaker readily revealed. Hard to tell the overall top-to-bottom quality of the turntable otherwise because of these same speakers and THEIR top to bottom profile and due to the unfamiliar [to me] electronics and equipment rack. I can say also that people really love the look of this table [me? I love the look of most turntables, I am easy to please in this regard :-)]
