This older DAC 4 was upgraded some years ago by one of Audio Note’s factory authorized service centers to include a modern digital board (with the same technology architecture as is used in a current DAC 4.1x, MSRP $17000) and upgraded parts complement, including oversized copper foil output capacitors and some power supply upgrades. This DAC 4 does not include transformer coupled outputs.

BNC and RCA S/PDIF inputs, RCA outputs. NOS Siemens E88CC output stage. Smaller all-copper chassis.
