Axpona NOT joining October Hi-Fi Show Madness

We got an email yesterday…

First, please know AXPONA will not be moving to the fall dates as stated last week but will remain in April for 2020 and beyond.

… and it goes on to indicate things are back to normal.

I guess this all served to get people to think about the yearly show schedules and what was important about each show, and which ones were worth the effort… as if we needed to think about this more, haha, and which we seem to spend more time on these days than actually going to the shows themselves.

Axpona joining October Hi-Fi Show Madness

We got this email from Axpona today. I guess, in an attempt to give the Munich HighEnd show goers a break, they are trying to distance themselves further [than the month April 19th to May 14th] than they were before by moving their show to the Fall…

“The first-class Renaissance Schaumburg venue that was so well received in 2018 has now been secured as our permanent home, enabling us to move our dates to the fall beginning in 2020 and to accommodate an additional day on Thursday to be used exclusively as a professional industry only “Trade and Press Day”. Following the upcoming April 12-14, 2019 show, the next AXPONA will be held October 29-November 1, 2020″

So if 2020 is anything like 2018 we will have:

RMAF Oct. 5 to Oct 7 in Denver

Toronto AudioFest Oct 19 – 21 in Toronto

Axpona Oct 29 – Nov 1 in Chicago

Capital AudioFest on Nov, 2 – 4 in Washington D.C.

We [at least Neli, and maybe me too] is going to Capital Audiofest in D.C. this year to support Old Forge Studio as they are hoping to be able show the Acapella “La Campanella” loudspeakers.

Next year?

Will we start hearing about the press getting heart attacks as they try to cover 600+ rooms in one month?

Or the industry being stripped of cash reserves as they pay a fortune to shippers for overnight delivery?

Or maybe they will join us and all just stay home with a pillow over our heads. šŸ™‚
