Uncrating an HRS M3 Isolation Base

[This is just a guide and is not a substitute for the manual.
It is rare for there to even be a decent manual these days - so, since you got one, you might as well check it out]

HRS M3 Isolation Bases come in a wooden crate. These crates weigh about 70-80 lbs, including their contents. Some kind of electric- or battery-powered drill with a Phillips-head screw attachment is very useful right now.

Remove the manual for reading later and the two top pieces of Styrofoam. Keep the Styrofoam around for later, it is going back into the crate for safe keeping.

After taking the top off and pulling back the Styrofoam protection, the beautiful, and shiny, granite top of the M3 Isolation Base is revealed.

Remove both of the shorter thick Styrofoam side protectors by grabbing them simultaneously at both ends and wiggling them out. Keep them nearby, they are going back into the crate later for safe keeping.

Reach the fingers of both hands into the gap created by the removal of the Styrofoam side protectors and curl them underneath the Isolation Base and get a good grip. Smoothly lift the Isolation Base out of the crate - this might require a little wiggling and a foot, or partner, holding down the crate itself. The M3 fits snuggly in the crate.

Put six of the eight screws into a baggie of some sort. This is the way the crate should look after unpacking (plus two pieces of Styrofoam and the manual that are not in this photo, darn it).

Put the baggie with six screws, all 4 pieces of Styrofoam (and the manual if you already have one or a half-dozen already laying around from opening previous M3 Isolation Bases, and are still able to find at least one of them) into the crate. Fasten the top of the crate back on by using the two remaining screws. Now your crate is ready for long-term storage - ready for the day when you might want to safely move or ship the M3 Isolation Base in the future.
