LAMM
INDUSTRIES |
Lamm Industries
is an American company that has been in business since
October, 1993 producing a limited line of very high-quality
products known as some of the best tube and hybrid gear in the
world.
|
|
|
|
Sound |
The
company sound is natural, musical and consistently excellent
across the entire line of products.
There is something
called the 'Lamm Magic', which, when added to a system, helps
imbue that system with a much needed dose of musicality.
Anyone
who has heard the Wilson Watt/Puppy 7 or Pipedreams or Kharma
or so many other speakers being driven by amp after amp,
sounding cold, harsh, fatiguing... and then heard these same
speakers with Lamm amplifiers - knows that it is not the
speakers that sounded so awful - or perhaps it is that the
Lamm amps sounded so good.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Portfolio |
Lamm makes two
hybrid solid-state/vacuum tube amps, one 6C33C tube amp and
one GM-70-based amp, three
preamplifiers (one tube, one hybrid), and a tube phono
preamplifier.
Every
component in the Lamm line is best-of-class ... an amazing
feat for any line of electronics. One of the most highly awarded lines
in Hi-Fi. |
|
|
|
History |
All of the products at
Lamm Industries are designed by Lamm's head-engineer and
president Vladimir Lamm. Vladimir Lamm (changed from Vladimir
Shushurin when he became a citizen) emigrated to the U.S. from
Russia. Vladimir has a
M.S. degree in
Electronics and Solid-State Physics and worked many years in
Russia on his models of the “human hearing mechanism".

DESCRIPTION |
The
ML1.1 monoblocks are the best push-pull
amplifier based on the 6C33C vacuum tube. In particular
they are a "Push-pull tube amplifier producing 90 Watts
continuous into 8/4/2 Ohms. Highly class A/AB operation.
High current low impedance output triodes
(6C33C-B/6C33C). The idle current and balance of
the output stage can be precisely adjusted and measured
using two analog meters and a set of special multi-turn
trimming potentiometers." |
