Kings Audio is always willing to try new speaker designs - and
offer them at a reasonable price, too. This system was not playing
when I took these photos. |

This is the main system they were showing in this room. Kings
Audio speakers and MBL amplifiers, Jolida linestage and what looks
like a Denon changer, but it is hard to tell. |

Not sure what they were using the make-up / shaving mirror behind
the right speaker for. |

Jolida's Music Envoy amps. As a show listener, always happy to see
equipment that has been used before... means it is more likely to
have been broken in. |

A couple of photos of the Linn digital: the Karik transport and
Numerik DAC. Numerik... good name. Karik... not so much. |

Looks like they were using a bridge to single wire these bi-wirable
speakers. Oh, bi-ampable. The power that these speakers also need
might be improved by using a higher gauge power cord - but you
never know for sure until you try it. |

They had a dozen or so of their components laid out. I apologize
for not photographing them all - but it was the end of the last
day, I wanted to make sure I got to all of the rooms. |

What an interesting looking linestage. Ten tubes. Nearly dual mono
(the left 1/3 is reversed compared to the 2nd 1/3). And, of
course, those top secret components wrapped in white tubes. |

Well..... first, we have to assume this has not just fallen on the
floor and got trampled over by cables. We can then recognize that
it does group the 4 or so cables together nicely - but it really
doesn't raise them off the floor for any sizeable distance, so it
is not really a horrendously successful anti-static device. And as
for aesthetics, we'll put it smack in the middle of the group of
cable elevators commercially available today. |
