The UniwaveTek and Golden Sound room. This room sounded better than it had any right to, with good dynamic separation and an almost sweet quality to  it.

The Ecosse / Audiostone / Audiopax room. Ecosse makes cables and their name comes from the French name for Scotland, where Ecosse is from - as told to me by one of their distributors [who I won't embarrass by mentioning their name. Aha! See those tubes? Took me forever to get the right shot to get those tubes. This beasty is tall enough that it is hard to lean over to get the overhead shot.

Hey, anything that looks like this with a tube stage [again, I presume] can't be all bad. However, the sound did not call attention to itself, which I was expecting it to do in the areas of speaker control and solidity. I have a feeling this might be one of those things that one has to listen to for awhile to ascertain the more subtle qualities of the sound. And perhaps with a different, more familiar, front end.

 

 

 

 
 

 

 

 

 
The Kaleidascape room. Here they are demoing the time it takes for all the DVDs to rearrange themselves by flying all around so that all the movies related to the selected movie are visually close by to it on the screen. At least this time they didn't have an annoying subwoofer going during the demo.

The Triode Corporation Ltd. Japan and Micropure speaker room. This room sounded decent, though it is hard, even for us, to listen to baby speakers like this and ignore the temptation to keep thinking that there is a lot of bass for such a small speaker.
