Moving to Residence in the Mountains:
Part 2
The truck has its rear door open. Not sure why
they did that (probably so that the two guys would feel more
comfortable riding inside. But a few minutes after this picture they
close the rear door (wouldn't want any large heavy speakers to slide
out during the steep parts of the drive, would we?). |

We follow the moving truck as it makes its way up
to the other house.
We were moving other things
that day... As you can see, it is
quite a trek from the driveway up to the house. |

The truck at the bottom of the stairs.
Each
Sword is only about 250-300 lbs, but it is large and awkward. |

Bringing the first sword up the stairs.

There are a number of obstacles on this course

Rounding the second to last turn...

Coming in over the threshold...

The first one is here. Looks lonely...
It was easier to lug the big
boys up the side of the mountain than to navigate all the stairs at
the bottom. |

Bringing up the last bass unit.

It was a wet summer, everything is still green
here even in late August.

Even after running up the side of he mountain,
there are still about 25 stairs to get up.

Slow and easy - accidents would be dangerous and
probably expensive.

Roberto and Tony.

This is the last bass unit on the last run of
stairs - everybody is tired.

Up.. up...

Finally there. Almost done...
We put carpet sliders under the
feet (7 per side, 4 under the bass unit and 3 under the Sword unit).
This may or may not have sonic effect but we need to be able to
optimize the positions of the Triolons after they are setup. |

The carpet sliders that go under the feet. They
are quite squished.

Lifting the heavy bass unit up into a standing
position
Just like taking apart the
speakers, it takes someone to move Sword unit and someone (or two,
moving these speakers across plush carpet isn't easy) to move the
bass unit. |

Scooting the bass unit to nest up next to the
Sword.

??? (sorry), Dan, Roberto and Tony...Thanks
for all your help guys!
