| The trials and tribulations of the
Almarro folks with their room setup is described to a great extent in the
official report. As you can see from the pictures, the first day the
system was setup along the long wall and without spikes under the
speakers. When we stopped back on the 3rd day it was setup along the short
wall with the speakers on spikes. Apparently it was the spiking of the speakers that caused some sonic anomalies that it was hoped moving the system would remedy. Unfortunately it did not. On the first day this system sounded very musical, bouncy, warm, reasonably good PRaT. What a relief to stop in here for awhile. On the third day there was an incredible amount of breakup in the midrange and things just were not going so well. Luckily, not too many people heard it in this state, given the amount of positive response on the net about this room. |
