Class A Audiophile Planet
We Have a Guest
Actually, we are
only Class D Audiophiles, and we still don't mind associating
with...
the lower class audiophiles (though if they are rude and hostile
- you know the type - we just politely put on our headphones
driven from our, proud to say, new wireless MP9 (128 bits, 16Mhz
of course) pure class A triode monoblock Sony Packman backpacks).
We have only one class C audiophile family in our neighborhood
(they are old and retired). They are so wonderful! Only last
week, we were entertaining and had one of the subdivisions
audioscapers over to adjust the placement of the speakers to
account for their being an extra listener in the livingroom.
Well, they live about a half a mile away, and the techno they
were listening to had a quiet moment, and they immediately, and I
mean IMMEDIATELY, heard that something was wrong with the room
interaction in our livingroom (I know, I know. We should really
upgrade to the Cray 19 Supercomputer digital room correction
system - but our house only came with 40 gallon/minute liquid
nitrogen cooling lines AND our basement is just a little too
small - we are hoping to move next Spring and if you want to
postpone your visit until then we understand completely). So
anyway..., this retired couple comes over, and were so polite and
... you know what they did? They stood in the front corners,
their bodies turned JUST SO to account for the 4th degree
reflections off the wall clock that our guest was absorbing with
their shirt (sorry Jerry, but a cotton shirt? Much more
appropriate for bathroom system wear, IMHO), and stayed there
during the whole time our guest was auditioning our system. And
you know, during those 10 hours, our system never sounded better.
Well, they ARE class C.
