Where no ears have gone before
Class A Audiophile Planet
As the Platter Turns
We live in an
ordinary gated community that does manage to keep out...
most of the city's ambient noise with our 500 meter tall
'Neighborhood Tunes' dampening walls. You know, sirens (of the
audiophile police), cars, cats meowing, noise from mid-fi
neighborhoods, the incessant chatter of roving bands of
audiophile news-people and reviewers. We have the standard
dedicated power plants, one for analog equipment and one for
digital (but we hope to get a third soon for video, now that the
ban has been lifted) and we just replaced the dedicated 10 9s 2
gauge silver neighborhood underground wiring with 16 9s 1.5 guage
copper (we are so excited, the silver was too bright, emphasizing
those nasty 5012.6500012Hz and 42,100.087 frequencies - and the
whole neighborhood is going to get to have all of our laundry room
systems upgraded to floor-standing speakers extruded from the
smelted silver).
