Hi Arshad,

For some reason I only wrote this post in my head on May 11th. Age, old age... no wait. Neli, I blame it on Neli. :-)

The ODIN power cord was announced here about two weeks ago... about two days before your post! We are trying to rearrange our purchases here to get a couple in so we can throw them on a couple of amps.

But you know how it is... The list of things we want to get is never shorter than our arms :-)

It is about $11K for a 4 foot cord here in the land of $4/gallon gasoline.

Take care,
Mike

Hiya Mike,
I should have mentioned specifically in the above post that the Nordost Odin power cord is on sale at the UK.

Cheers,

Hi Arshad,

We haven't performed that shootout, so don't know for sure, but my expectations, for what they are worth, are that the Odin SPEAKER cable is way more open and dynamic, but not that much more detailed, than the Valhalla speaker cable, [whereas the Odin INTERCONNECT is in every way leagues beyond all other cables - especially in deserving systems] and the Jorma PRIME speaker cable is very much more detailed and clear, but not much more dynamic and open than the Jorma No.1. [The No. 1 and Valhalla are very much at the same level with respect to many attributes].

Hope that helps explain my scribblings a little. We need to do that shootout!

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
#3= The Prime you mention is more detailed than the Odin. Is that right , always thought it to be the other way around.

Mike,

Just a note on #6: The AN SEC Signatures are not (technically) high efficiency (models). They have the ALNICO magnets and there is no HE ALNICO woofer (Yet). The SEC Sigs are 95.5dB/w/m sensitive whereas the HE models are 97.8.

Best,

Hi Mike and Neli,
I can bring up the CDSA the weekends I don't have my kids. That is if I can get up your driveway this time of year? :-)
Let me know when your ready and we can work out a day. But I better rest up for it. ;-)
   Should be fun!

Hi Steve!

Oops, yesterday got away from us. We rebuilt our consulting website yesterday. The blog there still looks like poop - but....

So we didn't get to the ELROD shootout (doh!) and today we had an audition of the Kharmas... [we are trying to help someone sell their 1 year old 3.2 speakers].

Thanks so much for offering to bring up the CDSA! I think we may be taking you up on your kindness - the Longmont gentleman is just going to order the new transport site unheard - so you better start resting up, these shootouts are hard work... Wiggle the left ear. Now wiggle the right... :-)

Take care,
Mike.
